旅美投手王建民30日清晨將搭乘長榮班機返台，經紀公司表示由於王建民今年的個人安排，將不會另行舉辦返台記者會。
36歲的王建民，今年在大聯盟成功復出，效力皇家隊，自2013年之後首度在大聯盟出賽，出賽38場，投53.1局，戰績6勝0敗，防禦率4.22，投球局數是建仔自2011年之後的新高紀錄。
王建民目前是自由球員的身分，還未與任何球團簽約，日前他已向媒體透露不會打明年3月的經典電動床墊賽（WBC），因為屆時他可能正在參加春訓，爭取開季進入大聯盟名單的機會。
建仔此次返台，會參加12月6日到9日的NIKE訓練營以及12月28日由中職球員工會主辦的公益高球賽。
